COOPER CANYON

Day 1.  Los Mochis- El Fuerte

Arrival to Los Mochis airport where you will be met by our representatives and transfered to the colonial city El Fuerte "Magic Town". The transfer takes about two hours. Upon arrival, registration at your hotel and you will have the rest of the day free to enjoy this beautiful magical town.

Walk through the cobbled streets, visit its colonial church, the town hall, the market, the local museum, also make a relaxing walk along the river that runs along one side of the hotel or just enjoy the beautiful facilities of the hotel . We also recommend you to try the delicious seafood dishes that offer various local restaurants or at your own hotel; our recommendation: Cauque or river prawn! Your travel documents containing coupons for hotels, train tickets and the itinerary will be at the hotel reception, please make your request upon arrival.

Day 2.  El Fuerte - Bauhichivo - Cerocahui 

All aboard! This morning at 8:00 am will be transferred from your hotel to the train station to board at 8:30 am the first class cars in the train Ferromex Chihuahua to Pacific Express best known as "Chepe". Enjoy the most interesting part of the journey on the train to cross several bridges and tunnels that adorn the breathtaking views that the Sierra Madre offers; all this in the comfort of train that offers dining car and reclining passenger seats.

Arrival to Bahuichivo station at approximately 1:00 pm and transfer to Cerocahui by hotel staff. After check in at your hotel you can take your lunch (included in the hotel). Free time to explore on your own sites of interest like the central square, the old Jesuit Mission and Tarahumara hostel girls all this sites are very near from your hotel. Dinner included in the hotel.

Day 3.  Bauhchivo - Posada Barrancas  (Brf., Lun.,Din.)

"All aboard! Breakfast. Then you will take a guided tour by the  staff of the hotel to Cerro del Gallego ""spectacular viewpoint of Urique Canyon"" . Enjoy the most amazing view of the Urique Canyon from where you can appreciate the river and the mining town that bears his name; also on the way you will have beautiful view of the canyon and several  Tarahumara valleys. At 12:00 pm you will be transfered by the hotel staff to the train station to board the train Chepe at 1:00 pm approximately to Divisadero / Posada Barrancas. On arrival at approximately 2:00 pm transfer to hotel  by its staff .

In the afternoon you will take a guided walk along the edge of the canyon (please check schedules at reception). Then enjoy the Tarahumara sunset from the windows and balconies of your hotel. Dinner included in the hotel.

Lodging: Hotel Divisadero or Posada Mirador Hotel - both overlooking the canyon / subject to availability

This afternoon enjoy the wonderful sunset Copper Canyon gives us. The breathtaking view from the windows and balconies of the hotel will allow you to appreciate the beauty of the place and understand the immensity of the Tarahumara world!"

Day 4.  Divisadero / Posada Barrancas - Creel

"Breakfast included in the hotel and then you will have the morning free to go around on your own. We suggest to visit the Copper Barrancas Adventure Park located in the area and where you can visit the different viewpoints, like the stone cantilevered viewpoint.  Challenge your adventurous spirit in the suspended bridge crossing a small canyon, ride the cable car or Tirolesas (optional-no included), or just buy nice Tarahumara handicrafts. Lunch included at the hotel. After noon transfer to the train station by hotel staff to board the Chepe train at 2:00 pm approximately to Creel. Arrival at 4:00 pm approximately and transfer to your hotel by their staff. Then you will have the rest of the day to enjoy this picturesque Tarahumara ""Magic Town"".

Day 5.  Creel - Chihuahua with a visit of Mennonites fields

"This morning at 10:00 am your guide / driver will contact you in the hotel reception to take a walk around Creel visiting Lake Arareco, the Valley of the Mushrooms and Frogs (rock formations), the old Jesuit Mission of San Ignacio (Tarahumara church) and a cave inhabited by Tarahumara. Then youn will be transfered to Chihuahua City. On the way you will visit the Mennonite Community in the city of Cuauhtemoc (closed on Sundays) where you will enjoy a traditional snack (light meal) based on Mennonite cheese, cold meats, pickles, bread, biscuits, jam, coffee and tea; all this done and served by Mennonites.

After our interesting stop we will continue to Chihuahua city. Once there you will have the rest of the afternoon free.

Day 6.  Tour in Chihuahua – Transfer to the airport. 

"Breakfast included in the hotel. Then in the morning you will enjoy a guided tour of the main attractions of the city (the pick- up time will be set the day before) Visit to the Museum of Pancho Villa (closed on Mondays), Government Palace and descriptive murals walk state history, the Cathedral, the Colonial Aqueduct and the residential area.

Transfer to the airport by our staff two hours before your flight. End of program.
